Noble Youth Fashion and finally got a chance to look at their collections. I was shocked at how beautiful and utterly desirable these pieces were. Every outfit screamed at me to purchase it and I think this is going to be a huge brand going forward. Check out their lookbooks on the site. Brooklyn Fashion, Brooklyn Fashion Design, Noble Youth New York Fashion. We’re told that our incessant gushing sickens many, so we figure we’ll do it once a day just to get it out of the way. Received an e-mail during New York fashion week about Noble Youth and we’ve been looking at the pdf repeatedly ever since. There’s this youthful, girlish nature about the Spring collection that comes through in almost every photo. It’s as if **almost** anyone can wear it and make it look better than good. The trick though and the real reason for the aforementioned incessant gushing is the Brooklyn Street names for the various pieces from the collection. Personal favorites include the Fort Greene Shirt and Metropolitan Skirt you see below, then there’s the Boerum River Vest, McKarren Park Dress, Rutledge Dress, Meserole Dress and the Winthrop Shirt.

Whenever I come back from visiting the Queen Mum I am pretty much always in tears. The train journey home is a sniffly affair and by the end of it I am red eyed and maudlin. So in order to escape the unhappiness I head straight to Borders hunting for the most beautiful magazine I can find so I can absorb myself in it when I get home.
The last time I came off the train Lula was waiting for me on the shelf. It couldn't have been more perfectly timed since I had taken a wander around my old 'hood whilst visiting the Queen Mum, remembering all the happy times I had playing there as a child. I stood where the castle is, which is high on a windy hill, and mentally pinpointed every place I'd ever played. I was also mentally saying goodbye.
Lula being in the shop seemed so perfect because this magazine whisks you away to a more innocent, happy place, like when you were a kid and everything was care free and delightful. The photoshoots are like snapshots of life and youth, and the illustrations are often very child like and naive. Whenever I read Lula I want to be Lula. I imagine her to be all whimsical and happy with alabaster skin with a smidgen of freckles across her nose, long, gangly limbs and flowing golden hair. I would spend my days daydreaming in the long grass. I would have not a care in the world.
I may not be able to be Lula, but whenever I read the magazine I certainly hanker after her wardrobe. A little bit Chloe, a little bit 70's, Lula's wardrobe would be pretty but not sickly sweet. I imagine Lula would wear a label like Noble Youth.
Noble Youth's latest collection seems to be designed for a girl just like Lula.
A beautiful blouse in jewel-like purple would look gorgeous against her pale skin; an amazing little dress in a vaguely 70's combination of coral and nude peach (oh how I positively LUST after this dress);
pretty flowy dresses perfect for lying on the cool grass and staring into the clear, blue skies above; little shorts for getting a slight honey glow on pale legs; suede waistcoats with flippy little skirts for when she is picking daisies; soft, poet sleeved, patterned blouses...
Friends, colleagues, administrators. We are gathered here today to celebrate young people engaged in the development of wardrobe essentials.
A new brand, Noble Youth, offers all of us hope for a new society that is inclusive and tolerant of short, sleeveless cloaks and for new, visionary leadership from someone dressed in cuffed houndstooth shorts.
There are more than four million women in this city who could benefit from the bright red, short-sleeve, flared Samba frock. And just as many men who stand to gain from the plunging neckline of the ruffled blue Plum dress.
The integration of poetry and romance in the line is exemplified by the puckered, high-neck Poe blouse and the regal, fitted, Cleopatra minidress — both in crisp white.
We applaud the creative energy of the first collection and encourage our Noble Youth to forge ahead and help build wardrobes of other nations.
